Who we are
AFRIKARS ("we", "our") operates afrikars.com. We are a pre-launch marketplace connecting African buyers with verified used cars from the US, UK and UAE.
What we collect
- Account info: email, password (hashed), optional username
- Buyer waitlist: full name, phone, region in Nigeria, diaspora status, preferred make/model/year, budget band, preferred source country, expected delivery month
- Dealer applications: company name, contact details, country, city, business type, inventory volume, current platforms
- Attribution data: UTM parameters and HTTP referrer if you arrive from a campaign
- Operational data: hashed IP address, user-agent string
How we use it
- Match you with relevant inventory when we go live
- Send you account verification + occasional product updates
- Improve our marketing by understanding which channels work
- Protect against fraud and abuse
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data to third parties.
- We don't share your phone number with anyone outside our operations team without your explicit consent at transaction time.
- We don't store credit card or bank details in this phase — no payment processing is live.
Your rights (NDPR)
As a Nigerian resident, you have rights under the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR): access to your data, correction of inaccuracies, deletion, and the right to object to processing. Email us at hello@afrikars.com with the subject "NDPR request" to exercise these.
